Code of Professional Ethics and Bylaw AmendmentsAugust 27, 2008
Dear ZRA Members:
The final, proposed ZRA Code of Professional Ethics (COPE) is now presented to the members by the Ethics Committee and Board of Directors with an opportunity to submit amendments (Enclosure A). This final version represents a great deal of research, review, critical thinking, editing, compromise and ultimately the final majority vote of several leadership groups and validation by a Registered Parliamentarian. Please submit any amendments directly to Deborah Halin, Chairman/ZRA Ethics Committee, at firstname.lastname@example.org by September 5, 2008, end of business (in your relevant time zone). The Amendment Form and proposed COPE are located on the website under the Governance link.
Due to the length of time required to finalize revisions to the proposed Code of Professional Ethics (COPE), and its relatedness to the current bylaws in specific sections, the Board of Directors has requested that the Bylaws Committee extend the deadline of August 26, 2008 to end of business (in your time zone) on September 5, 2008. This revised timeline will coincide with the deadline for amendments on the final, proposed COPE that will be distributed to members this afternoon. Please submit any comments regarding bylaws amendments to Nancy Butler, Chairman/ZRA Bylaws Committee at email@example.com.
