The ZRA Annual Conference Committee is pleased to announce the 2016 ZRA Annual Conference will be hosted by Africam Safari in Puebla, Mexico! We wish to thank Carolina Holguin, Registrar and Frank Camacho, CEO for this exciting opportunity to visit their renowned
institution!
The Committee would also like to congratulate Adrienne Horrigan, Registrar at Lincoln Park Zoo on her appointment as the 2016 Annual Conference Program Chairman!
Africam Safari is a safari-style zoological park housing over 2,500 animals of 250 species from 5 continents. Located on 494 acres in the heart of Mexico, it is the largest zoological institution of its kind in Latin America and welcomes approximately 650,000 visitors each year.
Africam Safari includes a 5 mile drive-through safari experience featuring African, European, Asian and American species as well as a walk-through area featuring Australian outback exhibits, a butterfly house, and the newly opened Amazon Adventure. This new area includes an award winning jaguar exhibit, underwater crocodile exhibit, a free-flight bird show and much
more!

Entry Requirements for Mexico
- U.S. Citizens must present a valid passport U.S. Current processing time for passports is 4 – 6 weeks from receipt of application.
- Citizens of the U.S. and Canada are currently not required to apply for a Visa to enter Mexico.
- All visitors are required to obtain a Mexico Visitor's Permit (FMM). This is a simple form that can be obtained from the check-in counter at the airport and fill it out on the airplane before you land or when you land in Mexico.
- Mexico charges a fee to all tourists and business visitors arriving in the country. The fee is approximately US$22. Airlines normally collect this fee and include it in the cost of the airfare.
