The Newsletter Committee produces the quarterly newsletter, For The Record, for the members of ZRA.  The newsletter includes information about the organizations activities, annual conferences, and other member news.  As of 2025, there are content blocks for: ZRA committee updates; a list of new members; humorous daily report snippets; birth/hatch announcements; an AZA regulation update; a member or vendor profile; and a section for other news from the membership.  The last page of the newsletter lists the current ZRA Board members and supporting sponsors.

Over the past year, the Newsletter Committee has instituted a number of enhancements to the newsletter the last of which (the AZA regulation section) just rolled out in the latest edition.  Our near-term goal is to get feedback from our audience on the changes we’ve implemented to make sure we are fulfilling our expectations.  The newsletter is designed for ZRA members so the content should be informative and interesting to our audience.  In 2024 we began spotlighting ZRA supporting vendors, a new content block (Mixology) was added to capture broader content, and the quarterly call for submissions was reworded to stimulate reader response.
