LSU School of Library & Information Science and ICRM Announce Partnership
January 18, 2017 Dear ZRA members,As Chair of the Professional Development Committee, I wanted to share this recent press release with you, the Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Library and Information Science and the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) have announced its partnership. Beginning in the spring of 2017, LSU will launch its online Graduate Certificate in Records and Information Management. As indicated in the press release, due to the rigor of the program, students completing the certificate will qualify as passing parts 1-5 of the Certified Records Manager (CRM) or parts 2-4 for the Certified Records Analyst (CRA) designations. If they choose to go for the CRM, they will still have to apply directly to the Institute to take Part 6 to be certified. Otherwise, at a minimum a student is able to contact the ICRM upon completion of the certificate program and request CRA membership.
