As Chairman of the ZRA Professional Development Committee, I would like to share a couple of announcements with you, the first being the Press Release on a new partnership between the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) and San José State University (SJSU) School of Information (iSchool). The strategic partnership would allow graduates of the Master of Archives and Records Administration (MARA) degree program, who have completed their course work and met established qualifications for ICRM candidacy, to apply for credit for Parts 1-5 of the ICRM exams.  This is a great opportunity for anyone who chooses to enroll in the MARA Program which has been developed in tight alignment with the ICRM exam outline.  The MARA Program is completely online.

Secondly, please find below a link to the recent announcement of the 2017 Access Leadership Scholarships .  Applications for the 2017 La ARMA Nostra RIM Certification Reimbursement Awards, open to current candidates for the ICRM Certified Records Analyst (CRA) or Certified Records Managers (CRM), are open as well.  Please click the link below to see current information including deadlines and requirements for the scholarships.  Anyone that is a member of ZRA, a current candidate of the Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) for the CRA or CRM credential, and has been a Registrar for at least one year, should definitely apply for the La ARMA Nostra RIM Certification Reimbursement Awards.
