Zoological Registrars Association (ZRA) ICRM Exam PrepWorkshop
 

Dear ZRA Members,
 

The Professional Development Committee (PDC) invites you to participate in its 10th annual Institute of Certified Records Managers (ICRM) Exam PrepWorkshop. This year’s Workshop is hosted by the Columbus Zoo on Monday, 25 October 2017, at the conference hotel (Double Tree Suites Hilton Downtown Columbus). ZRA thanks the Columbus Chapter of ARMA for its sponsorship of a break for this event!
 

If you’re not sure what the Certified Records Manager (CRM) or Certified Records Analyst (CRA) credentials are or its value to you as a records management professional, come to the ZRA hosted Exam Prep Workshop to learn all about it. If you are currently a CRM or CRA Candidate and actively testing, the workshop will provide you with a comprehensive review of the ICRM Exam Outline and identify all of the resources you will need to prepare. The timing is excellent if you are testing in November of 2017.  Registrars manage records in all stages of the life cycle (records creation and use, preservation and disposition) using a variety of systems for active and inactive records, applying principles and methods of appraisal and retention, protection and preservation. Those areas of records management require current skills & competencies to ensure you are leveraging technology and working towards a published best practice.
 

Now is the time to evaluate where you stand as a records management professional and the ZRA hosted ICRM Exam Prep Workshop is a great opportunity for you to do just that! It’s important to remember the core tenets of records and information management stand on their own, and are relevant to your position as a registrar, whether you choose to pursue the credential or not. Pursuing ICRM certification is an outstanding way to obtain extensive knowledge, skills and competencies that are benchmarked against global best practice and peers in the global RIM profession.
 

If you are currently a CRM or CRA Candidate, or want more information to determine if it is right for you, this event provides in-depth information on the exam administration process from application to certification. You will also be provided with current and updated materials on the Certification Maintenance Program (CMP).
 

Whether you have been a registrar for 1-5, 10-15 or beyond, this may be an opportunity for you to advance your career, or gain the in-depth records management knowledge and expertise you may need to meet emerging challenges and opportunities in the profession in the near future.
 

We hope to see you there, remember the ICRM Exam Prep Workshop is included in full registration for all ZRA members. Additionally, ZRA has an annual ICRM Scholarship program to assist our members in obtaining the gold standard in records management certifications! Additional resources for scholarships will be provided.
