Training Certificate Program for Zoological Registrars
July 28, 2017The Zoological Registrars Association (ZRA) announces the first class of its new Training Certificate Program for Zoological Registrars will be held at the 2017 Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, 29 September. Cost for this workshop is included with a full-conference registration; if attending only the training class, the cost is $45 for non-members and daily registrants. The class will be held at the conference hotel, Double Tree Suites by Hilton Columbus Downtown, 50 S. Front St, Columbus, Ohio, 43215.
The focus of the class is “The Basics”: best practices and key principles for the zoological registrar role and for creating, managing and maintaining high quality animal records. The principles that will be taught can be applied to any kind of record system, paper or computer, and will be appropriate for those who are new to or interested in entering the profession. Information provided may also serve as a means for established registrars to update themselves on changing best practices.
