2019 ZRA ANNUAL CONFERENCE
HOST ANNOUNCEMENT
The ZRA Annual Conference Committee is pleased to announce the 2019 ZRA Annual Conference will be hosted by Zoo de Granby. We wish to thank Isabelle Menard, Assistant Registrar, Pauline Leggett, Registrar and Paul Gosselin, CEO, for this exciting opportunity to visit their renowned institution!
Founded in 1953, the Zoo de Granby is now the largest zoo in Québec and is one of only six institutions in Canada to be accredited by the AZA. The Zoo de Granby features a collection of more than 1400 animals from nearly 225 species, distributed into four long trails representing Africa, Asia, Oceania, and South America. In total, more than forty habitats house a varied combination of small and large animals.
In addition to the animal park, the Zoo de Granby offers its guests access to the zoo’s amusement park as well as the Amazoo water park. These recreational venues are both open during the summer season. Additionally, the zoo provides fall, winter and spring thematic activities in its calendar.
The Zoo de Granby's mission is to offer an enriching, entertaining and educational experience aimed at creating animal conservation awareness for a diverse clientele of all ages.
2019 Conference Dates: 30 September – 6 October 2019
