Call for Nominations: 2019 ZRA Board of Directors (BOD)
April 08, 2019The Nominations and Elections Committee is requesting your participation in the nomination and election process for two director positions that will become vacant this year at the close of the annual business meeting. The positions include:
- Director, Membership Services (will serve 2019-2021)
- Director, Training/Standards/Professional Development (will serve 2019-2021)
Please note there are three BOD officer positions that will also become vacant this year at the close of the annual business meeting. Those positions are Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. Per the bylaws (Article V, Section 3, Section E), the officers currently standing in those positions are eligible and have agreed to run for another term. If any qualified member is interested in running for these positions in addition to the current officers, they may submit a nomination, but please note that the current officer’s name will also appear on the voting ballot.
- Vice-President (will serve 2019-2021 as Vice-President and 2021-2023 as President) Name to appear on ballot: Stephanie Eller
- Treasurer (will serve 2019-2021) Name to appear on ballot: Jayne Hardwick
- Secretary (will serve 2019-2021) Name to appear on ballot: Adrienne Horrigan

If you are interested in pursuing BOD leadership opportunities within ZRA, you have the support of the Board and the entire Association. Please review the Succession Plans that have been developed https://www.zooregistrars.org/resources/general to assist you during your leadership position.
You can nominate up to two qualified candidates for each vacancy—including yourself. Please make sure that your nominee has agreed to being nominated; no one will be added to the ballot without his/her consent. ZRA members should use the qualification documents and eligibility list available through the online nomination form on the ZRA website found here. The eligibility list will be available as a pull down menu and reflects those members who currently meet the requirements to hold positions (as indicated in the bylaws Article V, Section 3). No more than three candidates per open position will be included on the final ballot.
