Standards Committee
The Standards Committee is focused on gathering industry standards and best practices, evaluating whether current standards need to be updated and/or new standards written, and publishing new standards when needed. This Committee works closely with AZA's IDMAG (Institutional Data Management Advisory Group).
Current Goals & Projects
The 2020-2025 Strategic Plan called for the creation of several new standards, and it mandated SC to write summaries of existing standards to go into the ZRA newsletter, For The Record. SC did complete a review of existing standards, but the creation of new standards didn't make it across the finish line. The Committee is in a bit of hiatus right now; it is possible the new Strategic Plan will have a different goal for this committee.
