2017 ZRA ANNUAL CONFERENCE HOST ANNOUNCEMENT
October 11, 2016 The ZRA Annual Conference Committee is pleased to announce the 2017 ZRA Annual Conference will be hosted by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! We wish to thank Shelly Roach, Registrar and Tom Stalf, CEO for this exciting opportunity to visit their renowned institution!The Committee would also like to congratulate Wyn Hall, Registrar at Toledo Zoo on his appointment as the 2017 Annual Conference Program Chairman!
Home to nearly 10,000 animals representing over 700 species, the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is one of Central Ohio’s wildest attractions. Much more than an entertainment park, the Columbus Zoo has been a leader in animal care, a partner of conservation projects around the world, and an example of cutting edge advancements in the modern zoo experience.
The Columbus Zoo has evolved dramatically since its establishment in 1927, but always with a mission to lead and inspire by connecting people and wildlife. The Zoo’s newest and largest region is the Heart of Africa with about 130 animals representing 20 species. The Columbus Zoo includes five other animal regions: Asia Quest, Australia and the Islands, Congo Expedition, North America and Polar Frontier, the Shores and Aquarium, plus so much more!
